OK. So it wasn’t 20 hours, but It was a hour lost.

Apologies in advanced to Napoleon Bonaparte and Napoleon Dynamite. Fun fact: Napoleon Bonaparte was 5’7″ tall. So much for historical accuracy.
Concept Art for the Alex and Cruz Superhero parody
Some concepts for Alex and Cruz. This project will began on Jan of 2015. It is a short comic spoof with Cruz as a superhero (one of his weaknesses is chocolate FYI). These concepts are part of this story.
The parody comic will be uploaded on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Sunday /Monday comic with the animals will continue to be uploaded on sun/mon (and will remain a bastion for our insanity) the parody comic will have no link to the Sunday comic. In fact I have redesigned the models for the Sunday comic but that will be for another post
Note both of these sketches are WIP.
Dark Souls II and Pizza
After 3 attempts to scare me, he finally succeed. But I was playing Dark Souls II, so it doesn’t count :P. Speaking about DkS2 it feels different then the first game. I’m addicted to it but I’m not sure it lives up to the last game. We will see. My apologies for putting a gamer on a couch. I said I would never do that… I lied. C’mon Baby Light My Fire
It was amusing to make a small dragon fit on a couch. I can be a little more artistic with single panel comics, but it’s not always the best way to tell a joke. It works well with this one though. – Alex the dragon
Primed Dancer
My friend Cruz loves Amazon Prime, almost as much as Darth Vader. While I like the free shipping that comes with it, you have to buy $100 worth of shipping to make it practical. I don’t buy that much on amazon. Cruz thinks the streaming video options on Prime are better then Netflix. I disagree. However compared to Netflix, Prime is cheaper by $20 annually but you have to pay it all upfront. To each their own. – Alex the Dragon
The Power of Flight
Earlier, Cruz and I talked about what it would be like a bird flying in the sky, and if we could become a bird would we do so? (very deep philosophical stuff). I personally would not give up my hands for wings, nor give up my highly flexible mouth for a beak. And lets not even talk about the gizzards.
Duty is Calling
I miss the Barnes and Noble in my small town that was closed due to ‘lack of interest’. Although I commonly read books on my iPad, its just not the same as having a physical copy in your hands. It feels strangely ‘fake’ using tablets and book readers . Like I’m not really reading. My friend Cruz dislikes me using the ‘B’ word in his presence, the word ‘book’. But then he reads graphic novels… Hippo-crate (the question is how do they fit the hippo in the crate :P) – Alex the Dragon

While the character models are still WIP, they are looking better. Started working on the UVs . Made Cruz skinnier as the real life Cruz has lost allot of weight. Made Alex’s model skinnier as well because I haven’t gained any weight 😛 For every comic Cruz and I get together and work on one or two comics a week. Cruz was distracted by Animanics and wasn’t much help… I can’t blame him BUT I AM GOING TO ANYWAY! RAWR! Thanks Cruz 😛
