This is a mixed media digital painting that combines 2d painting with 3d modeling. The models themselves are a WIP and might look totally different by the time I finish them.Β The main focus of this test was to experiment with different texture patterns. The model currently have no texture maps on them. It’s fun to combine both of my passions together like this.
Our new direction is to have Alex and Cruz and everybody else as ‘normal’ animals. But they would still be living in a urban environment and trying to ‘act’ like humans.
Your work opens up a new realm to me…as a “senior” (haha) I just discovered “The Arrow” a broadcast show modeled after the DC Comic series, “The Green Arrow”- which then made me realize I know nothing about graphic novels or the work you are both doing. I suppose this really has nothing to do with your concept…but ramble on occasion :)…
I would say it is a good comment on your talent that I’m slightly annoyed that the shadows hide them a bit! Well done π
Your project here is fun and creative. Thanks for liking my post on Two Snowy March Breaks.
your welcome π thank you for visiting our comic. we will post more soon.
Keep up the good work!!! I have a very special feeling for Alex the dragon… amazing how a computer aided tool may help to create these “characters”.
Bravissimo! π claudine
Wow. thank you so much π
Interesting idea…and well executed.
Thanks. We are happy to here you find it interesting. π
Thank you for liking “Rock Art: Part 2.” Alex and Cruz look good in this mixed media format. It is a joy to see your creative experiments, so I do not mind if you experiment some more. π
Nice work… I have more desires than talent when it comes to 3D modeling.
Thanks. Hope you continue to visit our comic. π

Originally I was going to revert Alex and Cruz into normal animals instead of anthro ones. But it limited our story telling options. so we reverted back to anthro animals
